Secondo progetto per l’ampliamento del giardino Villa Licia in Mercatale

Il progetto in fase avanzata di realizzazione , recupera la centralità dell’esistente viale dei cipressi realizzando un ingresso colonnato che senza porsi come un ostacolo diventa viceversa un invito all’ingresso. Tutta la nuova sistemazione si configura come un vero e proprio giardino paesaggistico, realizzato attraverso passeggiate e piantumazioni arboree. Gli unici elementi architettonici sono le rovine che come una sorpresa si apriranno agli occhi dei visitatori e il grande ingresso colonnato. Per una precisa scelta del committente questa nuova parte del parco non è recintata.

Second garden enlargement plan

Currently at an advanced point in its implementation, the plan reclaims the Cypress Alley as the central point, creating an entrance with columns, which becomes an invitation, rather than an impediment, to enter the garden. All of the new arrangements have made this a true, landscape garden through the use of promenades and tree plantings. The only architectural elements are the ruins, which will be a surprise for visitors, and the large pillared entrance. The new part of the park has not been fenced at the client’s express wish.
